How to renovate low-yield mango orchards? Please advise. The main technical measures for renovating mature mango orchards are: (1) Thinning by every other tree. For orchards with a row spacing of 1.5 m x 4 m, cut every other tree so that the row spacing becomes 3 m, and the spacing after renovation is 3 m x 4 m. (2) Top-grafting new superior varieties. The top-grafted variety is Red Mango...
How should mango trees be managed in spring? Please advise.

Spring mango management should focus on the following technical measures:
1. Timely flower thinning
For trees in which more than 80% of terminal shoots have flowered, thin flowers early to retain inflorescences on about 70% of terminal shoots; remove the remaining inflorescences from the base when they have grown 5-10 cm. For larger inflorescences, it is best to cut off one-third to one-half of the lateral flower branches from the base, so as to reduce the impact on fruit set caused by severe consumption of tree nutrients due to a large amount of flowering.
2. Timely topdressing
For mango trees with heavy flowering, topdress in time from the end of flowering to the period of flower fall. Apply 0.15-0.25 kg of urea per tree, or 0.25-0.5 kg of compound fertilizer, or combine with pesticide spraying by adding 0.5% urea, 0.2-0.3% borax and 0.2-0.3% monopotassium phosphate, and for weaker trees also add 50-100 mg/L gibberellin, etc., for foliar spraying.
3. Pest and disease control
1. Mango anthracnose
Spray once every 7-10 days during the flowering stage and young fruit stage. The main chemicals include: 1:1:100 Bordeaux mixture, 30% copper oxychloride, 12% copper green emulsion, 50% carbendazim, 70% thiophanate-methyl 800-1000 times solution, 75% chlorothalonil or 80% anthracnose Fuxian 500-600 times solution, 65% zineb or 40% miebingwei 400 times solution, Sportak 500-1000 times solution.
2. Mango powdery mildew
Spray once with 0.3 degree Baume lime sulfur mixture before flower buds break, or spray for control when powdery mildew infects during the flowering and fruit-setting stage. The chemicals used include: 50% sulfur colloidal suspension 200-400 times solution, 40% miebingwei 400-600 times solution, 20% triadimefon 1500 times solution, 50% carbendazim 500 times solution, 70% thiophanate-methyl 1000 times solution.
3. Mango shoot borer (also known as the heart-boring worm or shoot moth)
Spray for control when inflorescences sprout, once every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive times. The main pesticides include: 90% trichlorfon 500-800 times solution, 80% dichlorvos 800 times solution, 2.5% deltamethrin 3000-4000 times solution, 40% chlorpyrifos emulsifiable concentrate 1500 times solution, 50% high-efficiency miebaike 2000 times solution.
4. Mango flat-headed leafhopper
During the flowering stage, closely monitor pest conditions and spray for control as soon as they are found. The main insecticides used include: 20% leafhopper powder 1000 times solution, 10% saibokai, 20% fenvalerate, 2.5% deltamethrin, 2.5% kungfu 2000 times solution. Spray once every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive times.
