How much water does blueberry growth require? Please advise: adequate soil moisture is essential for blueberry growth, and insufficient water will severely affect tree growth and yield. How should blueberry bud mites be controlled? Please adviseThe blueberry bud mite is one of the most important pests damaging unopened blueberry buds. The mite body is extremely small and difficult to see with the naked eye, and the blueberry bud mite spends most of its time inside the buds. The occurrence of bud mites can be identified by their damage symptoms: the buds are partially rough, with gall-like growths accompanied by reddening, and sometimes red spots appear on young fruit; when the damage is severe, it causes bud death and reduced yield.
The control method is, after fruit harvest, spraying malathion at 0.62kg per 1200L of water solution per hectare, then spraying once more after 6 to 8 weeks, or applying a malathion oil formulation after fruit harvest.
