What should be noted when planting bayberry? Please explain

For bayberry, it is advisable to choose uncultivated red-yellow soil hilly and mountainous land for large-scale intensive development. Bayberry is both an economic forest, which after establishment helps improve land utilization and increase farmers' income, and an ecological forest, which after establishment helps improve the ecological environment, with very significant economic and ecological benefits. The planting period is generally from mid-February to early April, generally planting 40~60 plants per mu, and when planting, 1% male plants should be interplanted. Before planting, first determine the planting points (choose locations with as even distribution and fertile soil as possible), then dig planting holes with a diameter of 1m-1.2m and a depth of 0.5m-0.8m (if soil conditions are good, digging may be omitted), apply sufficient base fertilizer in the holes (mainly organic fertilizer), cover the base fertilizer with 0.2m of topsoil, and when planting, place the seedling in the hole close to the upper wall, spread out the root system, fill fine soil among the roots up to the graft union, then firm it forcefully, and water thoroughly with "root-setting water", then cover with fine soil up to the branching leaf area (or about 15cm above the graft union). After planting, immediately cut back to determine the trunk, with the cutting height at 20cm-30cm. When planting, it is better to plant deep rather than shallow. From 1 year to 2 years after planting, special attention should be paid to drought prevention and resistance, especially in the high-temperature and drought season from July to August of the planting year, timely watering and covering with brushwood and other materials for shade should be carried out. If dead or missing plants are found, they should be replanted in time.
