How to manage winter jujube well during the young fruit stage? Please help guide.
During the young fruit stage of winter jujube, you can refer to the following methods for management:
1. Prevent fruit drop. In the late stage of young fruit enlargement, fruit often drops due to insufficient nutrient supply. To reduce fruit drop, in early to mid-July, spray the canopy with 20 ppm naphthaleneacetic acid plus 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate. If there are symptoms of nitrogen deficiency, add 0.3% urea solution and spray together. Once every 7-10 days, spray 1-2 times.
2. Reasonable topdressing. After winter jujube fruit set, water promptly and increase application of compound fertilizers or organic compound fertilizers rich in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, boron, calcium, zinc and other major and trace elements essential for winter jujube. Generally, for young trees, apply 0.2-0.3 kg diammonium phosphate and 0.5 kg potassium sulfate per tree; for fruiting trees, double the amount, applied in ring-shaped multiple holes. Foliar spraying of fertilizers is encouraged, such as Zao Te Feng at 800 times, 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate, Ruilv, etc.
3. Timely control of pests and diseases. The main pests at this stage are peach fruit moth, red spider mite and green plant bug, etc. Special attention should be paid to their control. If control is not timely, it will cause serious leaf drop and fruit drop. You can choose Su Chong Qing at 2000 times or Wan Ling at 3000 times + 1.8% abamectin emulsifiable concentrate at 3000 times for control, spraying once every 5-7 days. The diseases at this stage mainly include jujube rust, alternaria leaf spot and ring rot, etc. You can choose the following formulas, such as 100-140 units agricultural streptomycin + Baolian at 800-1000 times solution, or Kejunkang + triadimefon at 800 times, or Tepuzol at 800 times solution for spray control, once every 7-10 days, spraying 3-4 times consecutively. Alternate the use of various pesticides to improve control effectiveness. For jujube trees with severe iron deficiency, iron supplementation is needed. You can apply 20-30 g chelated iron per tree by flushing, or dilute 1500 times solution for spraying.
