What pesticide should be sprayed during the banana fruit bunch development stage? Please give an introduction.
Young banana fruits are susceptible to damage from diseases and pests. The main diseases are black spot disease and anthracnose, while the main pest is flower thrips. Flower thrips enter the flower bud to damage young fruits after the bud emerges but before the bract opens, so insecticide should be sprayed for control once the bud appears. For disease prevention, spraying is usually done before bagging, mainly to control black spot disease. At present, all banana buyers base their purchases on finger length. At the time of dehanding, plant hormones or nutrient agents can be sprayed on the fruit bunch. The main hormones include 2,4-D and 6-benzylaminopurine, and the main nutrient agents include monopotassium phosphate, urea, Zhibaosu, and Zhibao 18. However, young fruits have poor resistance, and too high a concentration will cause phytotoxicity, so they must be applied carefully, especially the 2,4-D hormone. During high-temperature periods, banana fruits are highly sensitive to chemicals, so the concentration should preferably be slightly lower. The best spraying period for banana fruits is within 48 hours after dehanding, and the chemicals must have good spreading properties. A sprayer with a good atomization effect and even spraying is preferable. When spraying, the application amount on the lower half of the bunch should preferably be slightly larger. Since 2,4-D is a chemical strictly banned in international markets (such as Japan), 6-benzylaminopurine and gibberellin should be used as the main regulators for finger growth. However, when the finger length exceeds 30 cm, the fingers are harder to fill out fully, and the growth period is also longer, so topdressing and water management should be strengthened during the fruit-bearing period.
