For high-yield mango cultivation, the first step is to select good varieties; after the grafted seedlings survive, timely management such as expanding the planting holes and deep plowing, and pest and disease prevention, should be carried out. Scientific and rational fertilization runs through the entire tree-age cycle and is an important link related to high yields and good fruit quality.
Points to note:
1. Young mango trees have small root systems, few fibrous roots, and shallow distribution, so fertilizer should be applied frequently and in small amounts. In dry weather, water-soluble fertilizer should be applied. At the same time, spray with Xinguozhimu (new high-lipid film) to improve the utilization rate of the effective components of the fertilizer.
2. Fertilizer should not be applied close to the trunk, but along the drip line at the outer edge of the canopy, evenly distributed in holes for the best effect. The amount of fertilizer applied can be adjusted appropriately according to the soil fertility conditions and growth vigor of each region.
Also, use Chuhuawang No. 2 during the flower bud differentiation stage of mangoes to promote flower bud differentiation, regulate the nutrient conversion rate, and thoroughly balance the alternate bearing (on-year and off-year) cycle.
3. Young mango trees can appropriately be given a little more nitrogen, and applying some organic fertilizer to fruiting trees gives better results. Also, spray Zhuangguodiling once each before mango flowering, at the young fruit stage, and at the fruit expansion stage, to thicken the fruit stalk and increase the amount of nutrient transport. This prevents flower drop, fruit drop, fruit cracking, stiff fruit, and deformed fruit, making the fruit brightly colored, well-shaped, and good-tasting.
