Persimmon trees can be fertilized by referring to the following methods:
(1) Base fertilizer 1. Ring trench application At the edge of the canopy projection, dig a ring-shaped trench 30-40 cm deep and 30-40 cm wide, mix the fertilizer evenly with the topsoil and apply it, then cover with soil. This method is mostly used for young trees. 2. Radial trench application With the trunk as the center, dig 4-8 radial trenches around it that are 20-40 cm deep, 30 cm wide, and 1-2 m long (depending on the size of the canopy), deeper outside and shallower inside, apply the fertilizer, and then fill them level. This method is mostly used for mature trees. 3. Strip trench fertilization When labor or fertilizer is insufficient, trenches can be dug row by row or every other row, and fertilization can be carried out in combination with deep plowing.
(2) Topdressing 1. Ground topdressing Determine the fertilization method, position, and depth according to the type of fertilizer and the distribution range of the roots. Nitrogen fertilizer has strong mobility in the soil, so it should be applied shallowly; potassium fertilizer has poorer mobility, and phosphorus fertilizer has even poorer mobility. Therefore, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should preferably be applied to the layer where the roots are concentrated, and they should be applied evenly, preferably after being mixed with organic fertilizer and composted. 2. Foliar topdressing Commonly used fertilizer types and concentrations: 1 Nitrogen fertilizers. Urea 0.3%-0.7%; 2 Phosphorus fertilizers. Superphosphate and potassium dihydrogen phosphate extract 0.3%-3%, ammonium phosphate 0.1%-0.5%; 3 Potassium fertilizers. Plant ash extract 3%-10%, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, and potassium phosphate, etc. 0.5%-1%; 4 Trace elements. Usually 500 mg/kg. Generally, during the flowering period and the physiological fruit drop period, spray urea once every half month, and phosphorus and potassium fertilizers can be sprayed later.
