For irrigation and fertilization of bananas at each stage, you can refer to the following methods:
1. Seedling stage. During the banana seedling stage, especially for tissue-cultured plantlets, the seedlings both need fertilizer and are sensitive to heavy fertilizer. Within 3 months after planting, follow the principle of "frequent application and light application." Begin fertilizing 10 days after planting when new leaves unfold, using 0.1%-0.2% ternary compound fertilizer solution or relatively dilute decomposed manure water poured around the banana base, 1 kg-2 kg per plant, once every 5 days. In the 3rd month after planting, the concentration and amount of liquid fertilizer can be slightly increased, and a small amount of urea and potassium fertilizer can be added, applied once every 10-15 days.
2. Mid stage. When growth reaches 18-30 leaves, the fertilizer requirement increases. However, applying too much fertilizer at one time can also damage the roots, so fertilizer should be applied once every 10 days. Each plant each time can be given 0.5 kg-1 kg of bran fertilizer (or 0.3-0.6 kg of multi-element compound fertilizer), 0.1 kg-0.2 kg of potassium chloride, and 50-100 g of urea. On rainy days, apply in a circular shallow ditch along the banana drip line; in dry weather, dilute with 30 kg-40 kg of water and apply along the drip line, then cover with soil promptly after application. If the bananas are found to be growing poorly, foliar fertilizer containing organic matter can be sprayed, such as Garm Harvest regulator 1-2 times, to promote growth.
3. Bud differentiation stage (31-44 leaves). Bananas have the highest fertilizer requirement, every 20-25 days,
each plant each time apply 0.1 kg of urea, 0.2 kg of potassium chloride, 0.5 kg-1 kg of peanut bran (or 0.5 kg of multi-element compound fertilizer), broadcast after rain or irrigation, and keep the soil moist.
4. After bunch emergence. After bunch emergence, each plant each time can be given 0.1 kg-0.2 kg of ternary compound fertilizer, 0.2 kg-0.3 kg of bran fertilizer, and 0.1 kg of potassium fertilizer, broadcast after rain or irrigation. Before bagging, spray 2-3 times with 1000-fold diluted Garm Harvest (or organic foliar fertilizers such as Shengduosu) at 5-day intervals. This can not only make the fruit plump and the peel glossy, but also improve cold resistance and disease resistance. However, avoid excessive spraying of hormone-type foliar fertilizers, so as not to affect quality and reduce cold resistance and disease resistance.
