How to control mango stem-end rot? Please introduce
Mango stem-end rot is a fungal disease. It damages fruit during storage, causing fruit rot; when it damages branches it is called gummosis. Harvesting fruit after rain or when it is humid, and not leaving a fruit stalk, favors the occurrence of this disease.
Control methods: 1) Clean the orchard in winter, and usually apply more lime and potassium fertilizer; strengthen spraying during the flowering and fruiting periods to reduce the amount of latent bacteria (the control pesticides for anthracnose can be used as reference). 2) Pick fruit on sunny days after the dew has dried, avoid mechanical injury, and leave a 1cm fruit stalk. 3) Within 24h after harvest, dip the fruit in a 1000-fold solution of 25% prochloraz (miconazole) (31°C) for 2-5min, or dip the fruit in a 500-1000-fold hot solution (53±1°C) of 50% benlate or 50% thiabendazole for 10-15min.
