How to fertilize kiwifruit properly when planting? Please give guidance
When planting kiwifruit, you can refer to the following method for fertilization:
Kiwifruit absorbs large amounts of various inorganic nutrient elements, and after sprouting, the absorption of various nutrient elements differs at different stages such as leaf expansion, flowering and fruit development. During the period from spring sprouting to fruit set, the accumulation of nitrogen, potassium and zinc in the leaves accounts for more than 80% of the annual total, and the demand for potassium is also relatively high.
(1) Fertilization time: kiwifruit is generally fertilized once a year, with 2-3 additional topdressings.
Base fertilizer: generally applied after harvest and before leaf fall. The time is October to December. It is mainly organic fertilizer, appropriately combined with phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer or human manure and urine, etc.
Sprouting fertilizer: carried out from the end of February to mid-March before sprouting. The sprouting fertilizer is mainly quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer, to promote new shoot growth and increase the fruit-setting rate.
Fruit-swelling fertilizer: also called summer fertilizer, carried out from May to July. Apply nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, and combine with foliar topdressing, spraying 1-2 times of potassium dihydrogen phosphate. This fertilization is the most important one of the year.
(2) Fertilization amount: the fertilization amount is directly related to tree age and annual yield. Generally, for a 1-year-old tree planted at 56 plants per mu, apply 100 grams of urea, 125 grams of phosphorus fertilizer and 345 grams of potassium fertilizer per plant per year; for a 4-year-old tree, apply 300 grams of urea, 375 grams of phosphorus fertilizer and 1035 grams of potassium fertilizer per plant per year; for an 8-year-old tree, apply 650 grams of urea, 835 grams of phosphorus fertilizer and 2070 grams of potassium fertilizer per plant. At the same time, a certain amount of organic fertilizer should also be buried each year to ensure a sufficient fertilizer source. Kiwifruit is sensitive to chlorides; when the chloride ion concentration in the soil reaches 700 mg/kg, it causes toxicity to the plant, so the application of chlorine-containing fertilizers (such as potassium chloride) should be avoided as much as possible.
(3) Fertilization methods: commonly used methods include ring-shaped trench application, radial trench application, strip application and broadcast application.
