The common varieties of strawberries are the following three:

Rabbiteye blueberry:
Rabbiteye blueberry originated in the subtropical regions of North America, with a tree height of 2-5 m, vigorous growth, drought resistance, heat tolerance, long life, and high yield; it has a wider tolerance range for soil acidity, and both its dormancy period and water requirement period are relatively short, making it suitable for cultivation in southern China.

Lowbush blueberry:
Lowbush blueberry is mainly distributed in the northeastern United States and the eastern coastal regions of Canada, mainly as wild resources, with a tree height of less than 0.5 m, suitable for planting in the cold northern regions, and it is distributed at the northern limit of highbush blueberry.

Highbush blueberry:
Highbush blueberry is mainly produced in the temperate and subtropical zones of North America, and is currently the blueberry type with the largest artificially cultivated area in the world. Highbush blueberry is further divided into northern highbush, southern highbush and half-highbush, etc.; southern highbush blueberry requires a short low-temperature dormancy period and is suitable for planting in the south; half-highbush blueberry is a hybrid of highbush blueberry and lowbush blueberry, with a tree height generally of 0.7-1.5 m, suitable for planting in the cold north where the dormancy period is longer; northern highbush blueberry is suitable for planting in the north where the dormancy period is slightly longer, and the tree height of highbush blueberry is usually 2-3 m.
