The damage termites cause to pineapple:
Termites damage the roots, stems and leaves, often congregating on them, and can trigger pineapple wilt and sooty mold, making the plants in the orchard grow unevenly, weakening the trees, and delaying the fruiting period.
Termites cannot live without water and generally live in dark, damp places. Places where rain leaks through are often their gathering spots, and outside the mating period they mainly move by crawling.

   Termite control methods:
1. Strengthen orchard management by applying more decomposed organic fertilizer, irrigating reasonably, keeping the orchard at appropriate temperature and humidity, and paying attention to drainage measures. Improve the disease resistance of the trees. In combination with pruning, clean up the orchard in good time to reduce sources of the pest.

2. Protect and make use of natural enemies. The main natural enemies are the large black ant and the small black ant.

3. Chemical control. After discovering this pest, you can spray the plants with 40% trichlorfon at 600 times dilution, or spray termite insecticide on the ants' trails to kill the whole colony. The commonly used pesticide is trichlorfon.
