Method 1: Plastic bag sealed de-astringency ripening method:Put the persimmons into a plastic bag, place one or two apples inside, tie the opening tightly, and they will be de-astringent in 2-3 days.
Method 2: Piercing de-astringency ripening method:Insert small pieces of dried sesame stalk or toothpicks around the persimmon cap (calyx), insert 3-6 pieces per persimmon (arranged in a circle), and they will be de-astringent after a few days.
Method 3: Warm water de-astringency ripening method:Put the persimmon fruits into a clean vat (do not use iron utensils), then pour in warm water at 40~50°C, or wrap thick grass curtains tightly around the outside, keeping the temperature at around 40°C, and they will be de-astringent in 12~24 hours.
Method 4: Cold water de-astringency ripening method:Put the persimmon fruits into a vat or bucket, pour in cold water to submerge the persimmon fruits. Change the water every two days, and after about 7 days they will be de-astringent. Persimmons de-astringented by this method are crisper than those de-astringented with warm water.
Method 5: Chemical ripening method:For ethephon, it is best to buy small packages; local large packages are mostly used for defoliating old leaves in the late cotton stage (large packages generally contain sulfuric acid). Its use is by spraying before boxing, with the amount according to the instructions and used accordingly. When using chemical ripening, it must be ripened before boxing.
