How to disinfect grape seedlings? What is the purpose of disinfecting grape seedlings? We ask knowledgeable readers to help explainDisinfecting grape seedlings is mainly an important measure to prevent pests and diseases from traditional transmission. Generally, autumn and winter are important seasons for the sale and purchase of grape seedlings. Therefore, disinfection of grape seedlings is the first step in grape planting. Thus, Zhongdi Network has compiled disinfection methods for grape seedlings, listed in detail below for readers' reference.
Disinfection methods against pests and diseases of grape seedlings:
Method one:Use a 50% phoxim 800-1000 times solution, or an 80% dichlorvos 600-800 times solution, to soak branches or seedlings for 15 minutes. After soaking, dry them, then package them for transport or plant them immediately.
Method two:Fumigate with methyl bromide. Place the seedlings in a closed room and fumigate for 3-5 hours at 20-30°C. The dosage of methyl bromide is about 30 grams per cubic meter. Under low-temperature conditions, the dosage may be appropriately increased; under high-temperature conditions, the dosage may be appropriately reduced. During fumigation, an electric fan may be used to blow air to promote air circulation and improve the fumigation effect. During fumigation, prevent the seedlings from dehydrating.
Method three:First soak the seedlings in warm water at 43-45°C for 2 hours, then remove them and place them in a mixed solution of copper sulfate and dichlorvos to soak for 15 minutes. After soaking, remove them, dry them, package them for transport, or plant them.
Preparation method of the mixed solution of copper sulfate and dichlorvos: add 1 kg of copper sulfate and 150 ml of 80% dichlorvos to every 100 kg of water, mix and stir evenly.
Best time to disinfect grape seedlings:
Grape seedlings must be disinfected before seedling transfer and transport. When planting, it is best to disinfect them once more.
