Cymbidium kanran is a well-known terrestrial plant of the genus Cymbidium in the orchid family (Orchidaceae). It mostly grows under forest, beside valleys, or on moist, rocky soil, at an altitude of about 400-2400 m. It is mostly distributed in southern Asia and the southern tip of the Korean Peninsula.
