New high-quality, high-yield rice variety from Jiangxi reaches domestic leading level
The research project "Breeding and Demonstration of the New High-Quality, High-Yield Rice Variety Ganwanxian No. 36," led by the Department of Life Sciences at Shangrao Normal University, recently passed an achievement appraisal organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology. After carefully reviewing the relevant technical materials, agricultural experts from the Jiangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Agriculture, Jiangxi Agricultural University, the Shangrao Municipal Agriculture Bureau and other departments concluded that the project has reached the domestic leading level in breeding first-grade high-quality indica rice varieties. "Ganwanxian No. 36" has a moderate plant type, relatively thick and sturdy stems, and strong tillering ability.
