Sharing Experience in Feeding and Managing Thrush Birds
Thrushes can be kept as nestlings or adults, but adults are harder to tame and train, so most enthusiasts prefer to keep nestlings. Thrushes are classified by age into four types: nestling, soft-feathered, full-feathered, and old-feathered. A nestling is a young bird that has just hatched and has not yet left the nest; once the nestling

Experience with Treating Spinning Disease in Freshwater Pompano with Cut Tobacco
Freshwater pompano has been affected by several fish diseases, some of which are extremely harmful with high mortality. One is spinning disease; once it occurs, if not treated promptly, it will cause the death of large numbers of fry and fingerlings. When this disease was first discovered, drugs such as fish and shrimp fungicide and Baibingjing were splashed over the whole pond. With

Experience in the sources and selection of broodstock for freshwater pomfret (pirapitinga) farming
Freshwater pomfret has a strong reproductive capacity. When selecting broodstock, choose individuals that are large, fast-growing, free of any disease or injury, with smooth body surface and clearly defined coloration. Also avoid using fish that are closely related as broodstock, so as to prevent degeneration of the offspring and its effect on growth.

Experience and Tips on Quality Control in Freshwater Pompano Aquaculture
The freshwater pompano, scientifically named Piaractus brachypomus (short-scaled giant characin), is a tropical and subtropical fish. It has the characteristics of broad feeding habits, fast growth, few diseases, easy harvesting, delicious taste, and rich nutrition. In recent years, the lack of scientific management and quality control during the aquaculture process has led to a decline in the quality of freshwater pompano

Sharing Daily Management Experience in Freshwater Pompano Farming
1. Bait varieties One type is directly fed with Northeast soybeans. The other type is fed with pellet feed, with a protein content of more than 32%; the later-stage feed should increase the fat content. 2. Feeding method The feeding method for soybeans is to inspect the pond more than three times a day and add more as soon as they are eaten, with the daily feeding amount based on the principle that it is eaten within 24 hours. Pellet feed is fed with a feeder. After the fingerlings are stocked, sufficient bait should be fed according to conditions such as weather and water temperature. Especially in June, when the water temperature rises and the fish gain weight, the feeding amount should be increased at the right time. The feeding amount should be controlled on the principle that the fish are full and no fish are competing for feed in front of the feeder. 3. Daily management After the fingerlings are stocked, pay attention to changes in water quality. In the early stage, add water once every half month. In June, the fish eat more and excrete more, and water quality is prone to deterioration, so add water once a week, 20 cm each time, and keep the pond water color "fertile, lively, tender, and refreshing." Start the aerator at the right time. In the later stage, the fish load in the pond increases. When the weather changes, start the aerator early to prevent fish from gulping air at the surface. Patrol the pond frequently and inspect frequently so as to discover problems in time and understand the fish's feeding situation. 4. Fish disease prevention and control In the mixed-culture pond, on April 25, before stocking freshwater pompano, kill parasites and disinfect. The main disease during the farming process is enteritis. Soaking soybeans in florfenicol or mixing it into pellet feed and feeding for three days can take effect. 5. Harvest Freshwater pompano is easy to catch. With the first seine haul, 90% of the pond can be caught, and after two more seine hauls, the pond can basically be caught clean.

Key Technical Points and Experience Sharing on Rotational Culture of Mandarin Fish and Freshwater Shrimp
Mandarin fish and freshwater shrimp are both currently popular species on the market, with large demand, high prices and high farming returns. Implementing rotational culture of mandarin fish and freshwater shrimp in ponds can maximize the use of the pond's idle period, fully utilize the water body and feed resources, increase output, and substantially raise pond

Experience sharing on self-breeding live bait for mandarin fish farming
Last year, the mandarin fish farming area in Wujiang City exceeded 10,000 mu. Zhang Qifang, a skilled mandarin fish farmer at the Sixth Branch of the East Taihu Aquaculture General Farm, farmed 20 mu of mandarin fish in 1999, with 83.5 mu of supporting ponds (of which 44 mu were used for restocking oriental river prawns), achieving a mandarin fish yield of 613 kg per mu and a per-mu profit of 3,163 yuan. Experience and Methods for Polyculture of Mandarin Fish in Adult Fish Ponds
1. Pond conditions. Adult fish ponds mainly stocked with bottom-feeding fish are generally 5-10 mu in area, while ponds mainly stocked with upper-layer filter-feeding fish are generally 10-20 mu in area, with a water depth of 2-3 m. Pond sediment should be relatively low, and there should be a complete water inlet and drainage system and equipment.

Experience Sharing on Rotational Culture of Giant Freshwater Prawn and Mandarin Fish
Macrobrachium rosenbergii is not tolerant of low temperatures. In late autumn and early winter, when the water temperature drops to 15°C, the pond must be drained and the prawns harvested for market in a timely manner. In this way, the Macrobrachium rosenbergii culture pond is actually only utilized for half a year (May to October). Mandarin fish do not completely stop feeding in winter and continue to grow, only with reduced feeding intensity and growth rate.
