To accelerate the promotion and application of new late japonica rice varieties and to exchange experience in their demonstration and extension, the Institute of Crop and Nuclear Technology Utilization of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Zhejiang Provincial Seed Station jointly held a field observation meeting on October 23-24 in Huzhou to demonstrate the new provincial late japonica rice variety "Zhejing 22". More than 50 representatives attended the meeting, including those from the Institute of Crop and Nuclear Technology Utilization of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Scientific Research Division of the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Zhejiang Provincial Seed Station, the Rural Affairs Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, and relevant municipal and county seed management and extension departments, as well as units undertaking the "Zhejing 22" demonstration project. The attending representatives conducted an on-site inspection of the provincial-level 100-mu demonstration plot of the new late japonica rice variety "Zhejing 22" at the Yueshanwei Agricultural Park in Shuangfuqiao Village, Hefu Town, Nanxun District, Huzhou City.

Resistance performance: weighted average grade for rice blast resistance 5.7, resistance frequency 90%; bacterial leaf blight resistance grade 5. When grown as single-season mid-season rice in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the average whole growth period is 137.3 days, 2.8 days later maturing than the control "Shanyou 63". Strong tillering at seedling stage, vigorous growth, moderate plant type with thick and sturdy stems, erect flag leaves, plant height

  • A new late japonica rice variety Xiushui 110 achieves source-sink optimization through morphological type innovation

Xiushui 110 was bred by the Yao Haigen project team of the Jiaxing Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Zhejiang Province using the hybridization method, with the combination Jia 59 Tianza/Bing 95-13. In 2001 it passed variety approval by the Shanghai Municipal Variety Approval Committee, and in 2002 it passed variety approval by the Zhejiang Provincial Variety Approval Committee. In 2004 it received a post-variety subsidy from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Agriculture for the selection and breeding of new high-quality specialized crop varieties and research on breeding technology. In 2004 it won the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award. 1 Morphological type innovation, achieving source-sink optimization

  • What pesticide gives the best control effect against older larvae of the rice leaf roller?

Chlorpyrifos and abamectin-monosultap are effective agents for controlling the rice leaf roller, but they must be applied during the 1st-2nd instar young larval stage (at this stage the rice leaf roller has not yet rolled leaves and caused damage, or has just begun rolling the leaf tips and causing damage), when the rice in the field has just begun to roll leaves. For rice leaf roller larvae of the 3rd instar and above, on the one hand they are protected because they are wrapped inside the rice leaves, and on the other hand they are insensitive to nereistoxin-type pesticides such as monosultap and to organophosphorus pesticides such as chlorpyrifos, methamidophos and monocrotophos, so the control effect after spraying is poor. Relatively speaking, older rice leaf

  • Introduction to the Jiudao 22 rice variety (formerly known as Jiu 9432)

Breeding institution: Jilin City Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Jilin Province, China. Variety source: Shonai 324 / Fujikei 138. Review opinion of the National Variety Approval Committee: This variety is a conventional japonica rice variety. When planted in Jilin Province, its whole growth period is about 153 days, similar to "Qiuguang". It shows high and stable yield, moderate resistance to rice blast, and medium grain quality. It is suitable for planting in rice regions of northern China with a maturity period similar to "Qiuguang". Upon review, it meets the national variety approval standards and has been approved.

  • How is the Fu'er Daohebao rice product?

Fu'er Daohebao brand rice seedling-strengthening nutrient agent is a "four-in-one" ultra-efficient seedbed nutrient substrate jointly developed by the Fu'er Group and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, including a fertilizer enhancer, an acid regulator, a soil conditioner, and a mother agent. This product is suitable for rice seedling-raising areas in the cold regions of the north (except for saline-alkali land seedling-raising areas). A single application can provide the required nutrients, and it has effects such as seedbed soil disinfection, acid regulation, biochemical control, and root promotion. It can achieve the "one controls three" effect of enhancing stress resistance (disease resistance, cold resistance, low-temperature resistance), cultivating strong seedlings, and improving yield and quality. 1. Rake

  • Detailed Explanation of Rice-Fish-Loach Ecological Agriculture Engineering Technology

    1. Environmental conditions of the production area: a good ecological environment, far from pollution sources, good air; high, thick and compact paddy field ridges, relatively clayey soil, relatively high soil fertility, and paddy fields with sustainable development capacity; good irrigation and drainage conditions, relatively sufficient water sources, and fresh water quality. 2. Paddy field engineering facilities: dig a ring-shaped ditch around the paddy field, with a ditch width of 1 m and a depth of 0.5 m; surround the field ridges with anti-escape plastic sheeting (40-50 cm above ground, buried 20-30 cm underground); install double-layer anti-escape blocking nets at the water inlet and outlet. 3. Rice, river crab,
