Boyou 122 is a weakly photoperiod-sensitive hybrid rice combination developed by the Rice Research Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences by crossing Bo A with Guanghui 122. In the two years 1997-1998, it participated in the provincial late-season rice regional trial, with yields of 415kg/667m2 and 481kg/667m2 respectively. In 1997 it yielded 0.24% less than the control Boyou 64, and in 1998 it yielded 7.6% more than the control Boyou 903. Its rice appearance quality was rated as late-season rice grade 2.
