Occurrence and Integrated Control Methods of Sheep Nasal Bot Fly
Cause: Sheep nasal bot fly is a disease caused by the larvae of the sheep nasal bot fly parasitizing the nasal cavity of sheep, mainly affecting sheep (Ovis aries). The adult sheep nasal bot fly directly deposits larvae, and the larvae become adults after passing through the pupal stage. Adult sheep nasal bot flies appear from May to September each year. After mating, the male fly dies, and the female fly rests until the larvae inside her body develop before flying and becoming active, depositing maggots in the nostrils of sheep to breed larvae. The first-stage larvae attach to the nasal mucosa of sheep and gradually migrate inward, molting into second-stage larvae in the nasal cavity and frontal sinuses, and by the spring of the following year, they develop into mature third-stage larvae.

What to Do If a Pig or Dog Is Poisoned? Introduction to Nasal Feeding and Gastric Lavage Treatment Methods
In recent years, referring to gastric lavage for large livestock and nasal feeding in human medicine, the author used nasal feeding gastric lavage to treat 19 cases of poisoning in pigs and dogs, and achieved fairly good results. The report is as follows for reference. 1 Preparations (1) Restraint: standing or right lateral recumbency; for small pigs and dogs, the two forelimbs can be lifted to perform the procedure while standing. (2) Selection of gastric tube: for large pigs, use a gastric tube or hard rubber tube 1.5-2 m long with a diameter of 4-6 mm; for small pigs and dogs, use a human urinary catheter. First measure the distance from the nasal opening to the xiphoid process, which is equivalent to the distance from the mouth to

Sheep nasal bot fly disease is highly harmful; how should it be prevented and treated?
Sheep nasal bot fly disease is a parasitic disease caused by the bot fly parasitizing the nasal cavity and cranial sinuses of sheep. In recent years, among the flocks raised by farmers in our region, because insufficient attention was paid to the prevention and treatment of bot fly disease, the infection rate of sheep nasal bot fly disease rose sharply, affecting the normal growth and development of sheep and seriously affecting the fattening results of sheep. Through in-depth systematic investigation and study of sheep nasal bot fly disease among farmers and farms, and observation of prevention and treatment, the author achieved relatively good results, now reported as follows: 1. Pathogen
