Evening Primrose Oil Essential Oil Production and Processing Flow and Manufacturing Method
The process flow and technical key points in the production and processing of evening primrose oil: a method for processing evening primrose oil, comprising impurity removal, flaking, extraction, water washing, alkali refining, decolorization, molecular distillation, and inspection and packaging.
First, the mature evening primrose seeds are cleaned of impurities by air-blow screening and de-stoned by vibration to obtain evening primrose seeds free of impurities and stones; then a press is used to flake the de-impurified evening primrose seeds, completely destroying the structure of the seeds; the destroyed seeds are placed in extraction equipment (rotating extractor, tank extractor, etc.), and the oil in the oil material is separated out by solvent extraction; the separated crude oil contains water, organic gums and oil material impurities, so it needs to be washed with water to remove gums; during the water washing process, a small amount of phosphoric acid or citric acid is added, precipitated for about 4 hours, and dried under high vacuum and high temperature; the acid value in the water-washed crude oil is still relatively high, so it needs to undergo alkali refining treatment; according to the acidity value of the crude oil, the amount of alkali and water to be added is calculated; after adding the alkali liquid, it is precipitated for 4 hours, soap is discharged and a second water washing is carried out, and drying treatment is carried out under high vacuum and high temperature; because the crude oil at this time contains chlorophyll pigments, white clay and activated carbon prepared in a certain proportion are added to the crude oil, and the filtration part of the decolorization and filtration equipment is used to filter out the added solid auxiliary materials, forming a semi-finished essential oil;
Before the semi-finished essential oil that has undergone the above treatment enters molecular distiller I, first start the vacuum pump, and through vacuum port 8 make the vacuum degree of the inner cavity 2 of the molecular distiller reach 1-5 Pa (throughout the entire molecular distillation process, the vacuum degree of the inner cavity of the molecular distiller is always maintained at 1-5 Pa), and turn on the heating system; in the molecular distillation step, the first step of preheating uses a thin-film evaporator, and the preheating temperature is 150-160 degrees Celsius; after the temperature of the semi-finished essential oil rises to 150-160 degrees Celsius in this step, it enters the second-stage molecular distiller through oil inlet 3; the condensed water temperature of the condensed water pipe 4 of the second-stage molecular distiller is controlled below 40 degrees Celsius, and the heating medium temperature in the heating medium pipe 5 is 165-175 degrees Celsius; as can be seen from the molecular distillation schematic diagram shown in Figure 2, in the molecular distiller, the heavy components that need to be retained and the light components that need to be removed will automatically separate; the separated light components are discharged through the light component discharge port 6 arranged at the lower end of molecular distiller I, and the remaining oil body enters the third-stage molecular distiller; the condensed water temperature of the third-stage molecular distiller is still controlled below 40 degrees Celsius, and the temperature of its heating medium is 185-195 degrees Celsius; under the action of molecular distillation, the oil body will still separate out its light components; after the light components are discharged, the remaining oil body is collected, and after passing inspection, it is packaged.
