How to Tell Good Lavender Essential Oil from Bad, and Can It Be Used to Fade Acne Scars?

Growing Techniques By Emily Carter 0 views

Lavender essential oil can be tested using the following methods

  1. Scent

Pure lavender essential oil has a sweet, pure herbal fragrance, but it feels very comfortable, with a light grassy note blended with a clear floral scent, and its smell is different before, during and after use. Inferior or adulterated essential oil, however, usually has a pungent odor that becomes unpleasant after being smelled for a while. Its smell does not change noticeably before, during or after use, and it lacks a natural sense of layers.

  2. Oil state

Lavender essential oil, like most essential oils, is not greasy or oily, but clear and transparent, and after evaporating it generally leaves no oily residue. If the essential oil is of poor quality or adulterated, it is usually somewhat greasy and more likely to leave a mark after evaporating.

  3. Penetration

Generally speaking, the purer the essential oil, the faster it is absorbed by the skin, and it does not produce a greasy feeling. Lavender essential oil is the same: if it cannot be fully absorbed after a long massage, or if oily components remain on the skin, then this lavender essential oil is of rather poor quality and is very likely blended with other types of essential oil.

  4. Origin

We all know that varieties and quality differ, and lavender is the same: the production and trade of lavender from different origins directly affects the quality of the essential oil, and lavender from the high-altitude areas of Provence in southeastern France is generally considered the best.

Can Lavender Essential Oil Fade Acne Scars?

Lavender is a plant of the genus Lavandula in the mint family (Lamiaceae). Lavender essential oil is extracted from lavender and can clear heat and detoxify, cleanse the skin, control oil, fade spots and whiten, reduce wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin, remove eye bags and dark circles, and also promote the regeneration and recovery of damaged tissue and other skincare functions. Lavender essential oil also has a calming effect on the heart, can lower high blood pressure, soothe palpitations, and is very helpful for insomnia.

Lavender is combined with a variety of pure plant essential oil active factors that complement each other, quickly penetrating hair follicles to disinfect and fight bacteria, promoting cell regeneration, restoring the skin's connective tissue, while balancing oil secretion on the skin surface, soothing sensitive skin, tightening pores, replenishing skin moisture, and lastingly protecting the skin from acne and pimples, restoring delicate, smooth skin with zero pores and zero pimples.

Acne Treatment Methods

First: occasionally a few pimples appear on the cheeks or T-zone. In this case, use a little tea tree essential oil and pay attention to hydration, and they will soon get better.
Second: frequent recurring pus-filled pimples. In this case, be sure to have a professional squeeze out the pus, then mix tea tree essential oil with lavender essential oil evenly in the palm of your hand and apply a warm compress to the pimples. After five minutes, apply a little pimple cream.
