What are the ways to use cajuput essential oil?
Essential oils are volatile aromatic substances extracted from the flowers, leaves, stems, roots or fruits of plants through steam distillation, expression, cold maceration or solvent extraction. Undiluted essential oils should generally not be used directly. Essential oils are highly volatile and evaporate quickly once exposed to air. For this reason, essential oils must be stored in sealable bottles, and once opened for use, the cap should be put back on as soon as possible.
How to use cajuput essential oil
1. Respiratory system (steam)
Problem solved: It is a very good antibacterial agent with excellent effects on respiratory tract infections, and is effective for sore throat, phlegm, runny nose and sinusitis during influenza, helping to make breathing smoother and clear the sinuses.
Method: Fill a bowl with hot water, add 2 to 3 drops of essential oil, cover your head with a towel, lean over the bowl with your face about 25 cm from the water surface, close both eyes, and inhale deeply through the nose for about one minute; the inhalation time can also be gradually increased.
2. Joints (massage)
Problem solved: It can increase local blood circulation, help the body eliminate toxins, warm damaged and stiff joints, and make joint movement smoother.
Method: 4 drops of lemon, 3 drops of rosemary, 3 drops of cypress, 3 drops of cajuput, diluted in 30 ml of carrier oil. To dissolve the essential oils completely, turn the bottle upside down several times, then rub it quickly between your hands. The blended essential oil should be kept in a dark-colored bottle such as an amber one and stored in a cool, dark place. When needed, pour some into the palm of your hand and massage it onto joints and other areas.
3. Muscles (massage)
