Peaches damaged by early-year high temperatures: cash relief applications accepted starting today
Regarding this year's (108) damage to peaches in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County caused by high temperatures (delayed onset) in February-March, the Council of Agriculture on the 24th issued Announcement No. Nongliangzi 1081010148, designating Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County as a region for cash relief for agricultural natural disaster damage to peaches, and orchard management after bagging peach trees must be done well.And from May 25, 108 to June 3, applications from farmers for cash relief for agricultural natural disaster damage will be accepted, and handled in accordance with the relevant provisions of the announcement.
The announcement matters are as follows:
1. The region for this round of cash relief for agricultural natural disaster damage is Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County, the relief item is peaches, and the relief amount is 90,000 yuan per hectare.
2. Relief recipients shall meet the following provisions:
Farmers who meet the provisions of Article 5 of the Regulations for Relief for Agricultural Natural Disasters (hereinafter referred to as these Regulations).
For those applying for relief items whose damage rate reaches 20% or more, relief shall be granted according to the relief amount; those below 20% shall not be granted relief.
For long-term agricultural products, relief in the same calendar year is limited to one time.
3. The operating procedures and deadlines for the cash relief in this case shall be handled in accordance with Article 12 of these Regulations, and applications for agricultural natural disaster relief shall continue to be accepted on holidays as usual.
The acceptance period for the cash relief announcement is from May 25, 108 to June 3. Disaster-affected farming households shall bring a transcript of the land registration record or a valid land entrustment operation or lease contract, ID card, farmers' association passbook and seal, and directly submit an application to the township office within the deadline. The Hsinchu County Government has also sent an official letter asking the township office to mobilize manpower to speed up the timeliness of cash relief, so as to complete relief operations as soon as possible and assist farmers in resuming cultivation.
