The Emei Township Oriental Beauty Tea Festival and Camellia Oil Industry Promotion Fair in Hsinchu County will be held this weekend (the 13th and 14th) at the Chike Mountain Bitter Tea Oil Tea Workshop. The Emei Township Office and Farmers' Association have carefully prepared activities such as the "Tea Seat Experience Under the Pomelo Trees," the "Bitter Tea Oil Tea Banquet," and the "Building an Oriental Beauty Tea Bar" specialty drinks, inviting the public to take a journey into the culture of tea country.

Emei Township Chief Wang Tseng-chung said that the greatest feature of Oriental Beauty Tea is that no pesticide is sprayed during cultivation; only through the "leafhopper bite" of the small green leafhopper (attaching to the tea leaves and sucking) can the sweet tea aroma be achieved. Due to limited tea garden area, plus the fact that hand-picked tea leaves still need to be carefully sorted, ultimately only 40 to 50 percent of the tea leaves can be made into Oriental Beauty Tea. Production is extremely limited, so market prices remain high, making it worthy of the title "tea gold."

Emei Township Farmers' Association General Manager Chen Kuan-yi said that in addition to Oriental Beauty Tea and citrus fruits being famous nationwide, Emei Township has also actively promoted the "camellia oil" industry in recent years, working hand in hand with members of the bitter tea oil production and marketing group to launch bitter tea oil gift boxes and, combining them with local agricultural specialty products "Ponkan Orange Noodles" and "Oriental Beauty Tea Noodles," to develop specialty bitter tea oil cuisine, overturning the public's impression of bitter tea.

The Oriental Beauty Tea Festival will be held on the 13th and 14th at the Chike Mountain Bitter Tea Oil Tea Workshop (No. 25-6, Chike Mountain, Huguang Village, Emei Township). On those days, for just a 50-yuan coin, visitors can experience Lei Cha DIY and Oriental Beauty Tea Flower Jelly DIY; on site, one person can enjoy a "Bitter Tea Oil Tea Meal Gourmet Buffet Feast" provided by vendors for 300 yuan. Surrounding activities also include tea seat experiences served by professional tea brewers, food and agriculture education experiences, and a landscape art photo spot, among others.

On the 13th, the "Emei Slow Oil Tour Tea Aroma Food and Agriculture Education Experience Activity" will also be held simultaneously, leading the public to experience the production process of bitter tea oil, from picking tea seeds, sun-drying tea seeds, to pressing bitter tea oil, and finally enjoying delicious dishes made with bitter tea oil.
