The control of edible mushroom diseases and pests is crucial, so do you know how to control edible mushroom virus diseases? Next, the editor will introduce the methods in detail to help everyone grow edible mushrooms better.

The control of edible mushroom diseases and pests should follow the principle of putting prevention first, with control as a supplement. First of all, prevent and control from the agricultural aspect to achieve twice the result with half the effort. The agricultural control measures include the following:

(1) Change crops, rotate crops, and cut off the food source of diseases and pests. For cultivation rooms where serious diseases or pests have occurred, the same variety should not be planted continuously, so as to prevent the same diseases and pests from breaking out and becoming difficult to control.

(2) Select mushroom spawn with strong disease resistance, strong vitality, and high purity. When introducing excellent mushroom spawn, choose varieties that fruit at suitable seasonal temperatures. Only in this way can the chance of infection by diseases and pests be eliminated or reduced, allowing safe mycelial growth and smooth fruiting.

(3) Keep the environment of the spawn production site clean and dry. One of the important measures to improve the finished product rate of mushroom spawn is to keep the entire spawn production and mycelial growth site clean, dry, free of contaminated spawn bags, free of standing water, with smooth drainage channels, and with fresh, clean air and water sources. In this way, the index of contaminating microorganisms in the air is low.

(4) In the same mushroom room, with the same variety, sow and fruit at the same time. Adopting this measure facilitates management and the prevention and control of disease and pest damage. Under the condition of ensuring normal fruiting, appropriately lowering the temperature in the mushroom room and increasing ventilation help reduce the living conditions for disease and pest microorganisms. After harvesting mushrooms, promptly remove leftover mushrooms, cut roots, and contaminated spawn bags, and keep the mushroom room clean, reducing the breeding conditions for diseases and pests to the greatest extent.
