Methods for scientifically adding nutrient solution to edible fungi.

The methods of supplementing nutrients to edible fungi include spraying, soaking and hole irrigation. Spraying is used during the period when fruiting bodies appear in large numbers. The common method is to prepare a nutrient solution of a certain concentration and, together with water replenishment, spray it on the mushroom beds and mushroom blocks. It is best to spray the nutrient solution when the flush is over. When spraying, point the nozzle upward and do not aim it at the fruiting bodies. At the same time, note two cases in which you should not spray: (1) Do not spray on young mushroom buds: to avoid "swelling to death." (2) Do not spray on places where mushrooms have just been picked or where mushroom residues remain, to avoid causing bacterial diseases.

The method of adding nutrient solution must be scientific

The methods of supplementing nutrients to edible fungi include spraying, soaking and hole irrigation. Spraying is used during the period when fruiting bodies appear in large numbers. The common method is to prepare a nutrient solution of a certain concentration and, together with water replenishment, spray it on the mushroom beds and mushroom blocks. It is best to spray the nutrient solution when the flush is over. When spraying, point the nozzle upward and do not aim it at the fruiting bodies. At the same time, note four cases in which you should not spray: do not spray on young mushroom buds, do not spray on places where mushrooms have just been picked or where mushroom residues remain, do not spray when the air humidity is too high, and do not spray when pests and diseases are severe inside the mushroom shed. Soaking is mainly suitable for the bag-cultivation or block-cultivation method.

After harvesting 1 to 2 flushes of mushrooms, if the mushroom bags (blocks) are severely short of water, place the bags or blocks in the prepared nutrient solution to soak, but the soaking time should not be too long; if too much water has been lost, the soaking can be done in several sessions. Hole irrigation is mainly used on mushroom beds, and is adopted when the mushroom bed produces many mushrooms and nutrient consumption is too great. The method is to scrape away the soil on the mushroom bed, insert a funnel into the substrate surface and pour in 4 to 7 milliliters of liquid, with a hole spacing of 10 cm, and cover with soil after adding the liquid.

The concentration of the added nutrient solution must be appropriate

If the nutrient solution concentration is too high, it will hinder the growth of the mycelium; if the concentration is too low, the yield-increasing effect will not be obvious. At the appropriate concentration, when adding it you should also decide according to the moisture inside the substrate. If the moisture of the culture material is too high, you can appropriately increase the nutrient solution concentration and reduce the amount of water used, and strengthen ventilation after supplementing the nutrient solution; conversely, reduce the concentration and increase the amount of water used.

When adding nutrient solution, pay attention to environmental changes

Generally, when the air temperature is above 20°C, the mycelium of mushrooms finds it difficult to form fruiting bodies, so liquid supplementation should be stopped; glucose solution, soybean milk juice and human manure and urine liquid are all unsuitable for liquid supplementation when the air temperature is above 18°C. An appropriate amount of bacteriostatic agent can also be added to the nutrient solution to prevent the breeding and spread of contaminating microorganisms.

Alternately supplement different nutrient solutions

Using several nutrient solutions alternately or mixed can meet the edible fungi's requirements for different nutrients. Generally, first apply the nutrient solution that adds nutrients, and then apply the high-efficiency nutrient solution. If the hormone method is used to stimulate the growth of edible fungi, then the hormone should be used after supplementing the nutrient agent

Apply organic fertilizer correctly

Compost and manure and urine must undergo full fermentation and decomposition or high-temperature disinfection, and plant extracts such as soybean juice and potato juice should be prepared and used on the spot.
