Fruit characteristics: Highly spherical, rind is green, smooth, about 1.3 cm thick, flesh is red, texture medium-tender, fiber medium, good storage quality, seeds oval, brown, 1,000-seed weight 35.5 grams, about 794 seeds, average sugar content about 11 Brix, average fruit weight about 9 kg, maximum about 10 kg.
Shoushan
Variety name: Early Klondike
Origin: Bred in 1973 by Known-You Seed Co., originally named Shoushan.
Fruit characteristics: Long oval or long spherical, rind is dark green, smooth, about 2.4 cm thick, flesh is dark red, good storage quality, seeds long oval, brown, 1,000-seed weight about 32.3 grams, about 156 seeds, average sugar content about 11.5 Brix, average fruit weight about 10 kg, maximum up to 15 kg.

Origin: Bred in 1974 by Known-You Seed Co., originally named Hualong.
Fruit characteristics: Long oval, rind is light green, smooth, about 1.25 cm thick, flesh is bright red, texture medium-tender, fiber fine and sparse, seeds oval, brown, 1,000-seed weight about 39.4 grams, about 610 seeds, average sugar content 11.8 Brix, average fruit weight about 10 kg, maximum about 15 kg.

Origin: Bred in 1974 by Known-You Seed Co., originally named Feilong.
