Is it okay to use raw gypsum in mushroom cultivation substrate formulas?

Generally, quicklime, that is, calcium oxide, is used. When mixing the substrate, 1%~5% quicklime is added. Besides supplementing calcium for mushroom growth, it is mainly used to adjust pH. In addition, it also helps prevent contamination by molds such as Trichoderma viride and buffers the organic acids produced during mycelial metabolism.
