Under what circumstances do cultivated edible mushrooms need supplemental watering?

Common watering methods include:

① Soaking bag method: Use a large barrel or water pool, place the mushroom bags inside, weigh them down with wooden boards and stones, then add water. When the water covers the mushroom bags, keep them soaked for 12 to 20 hours. After soaking, the bags should have absorbed water up to their original weight.

② Watering with a water replenisher: The water replenisher is an iron pipe less than 1 cm in diameter, with a hollow pointed tip at the front end, many small holes on its wall, and a plastic tube connected at the rear end to a small pressurized water pump. Insert the small iron pipe into the mushroom bag, then turn on the switch, and water is injected into the substrate.

③ Bag soaking: For mushroom bags used in upright fruiting, when watering is needed, water can be poured into the mushroom bag, preferably until the water covers the substrate. After the bag has been soaked for 20 hours, pour out the excess water from the bag, arrange the bags neatly, and proceed with fruiting management.
