What are the artificial propagation methods for boxwood bonsai?
Boxwood bonsai is relatively cold-tolerant and has strong sprouting ability. It is shaped with rough wiring and fine pruning into cloud-like or steamed-bun-shaped pads, or trained into a natural tree form. The trunk follows its natural tendency and is styled into a slanting-trunk or prostrate form. Some boxwood bonsai are accented with ornamental stones, forming a "boxwood leaning over rocks" style. In spring, when the tender leaves first emerge, the whole tree turns fresh green and is very pleasing to the eye.
