Every flower lover hopes their home can be full of greenery and full of flowers. To keep greenery in the home year-round, a pot of pothos is essential. To keep your pothos forever fresh, learning how to propagate pothos by cuttings is essential. Below, the editor will teach you some little tricks for propagation by cuttings.

Around us, pothos in large pots and small pots, grown in water or in soil, is the most common sight. Looking at that glossy green, flower lovers often can't resist casually snipping off two stems and sticking them in a flower pot to grow, hoping that one day these casually stuck two pothos stems will grow into a full pot.

So that you don't have to wait so long, today we'll teach everyone a method that makes pothos fill the pot as soon as it is propagated by cuttings, simple and easy to learn.

  1. Cut the stems

Choose several pothos vines to use for cuttings, and use scissors to cut the vines into sections, making sure each section has one leaf. On the pothos rhizome there are grayish-brown flower buds; look carefully and that is where the pothos roots will emerge. Following the position of the roots, cut diagonally with scissors. When cutting, do not damage the young roots!

  2. Arrange and insert the cuttings

Arrange the cut vines as shown in the picture and insert them into the flower pot, inserting cuttings in rings from the outside to the inside.

  3. Cover with soil after inserting

As shown in the picture, cover the center of the inserted ring of vines with a layer of soil, then insert another ring of vines, then cover with soil again and it is done.

  4. Daily care

Place the propagated pothos indoors in a place without direct sunlight, keep the soil moist, and once new leaves grow, move it into the sunlight.

Pothos has strong vitality. By propagating a large number of stems at the same time like this, even if a few of the newly inserted stems do not survive, it will not affect the pothos filling the pot.

A pot of pothos like this, doesn't it fill the pot as soon as it is propagated by cuttings?

  Notes:

Pothos propagated by cuttings in a pot must not be exposed to the sun within three days. After three days, place it in half-light and water it a small amount in the morning and evening. For potted plants, try to choose flower pots with air holes in the bottom to ensure good drainage. When taking cuttings, do not damage the leaves; make sure the leaves remain intact.
