A Detailed Guide to Leaf Cuttings of Kalanchoe (Christmas Kalanchoe): Even Beginners Can Learn It Easily
The kalanchoe plant is small and delicate, with a compact form, emerald-green leaves and dense clusters of flowers. It is an ideal indoor flowering plant for winter and spring. Kalanchoe carries the meaning of great fortune and prosperity and long life, so it is very popular and a much-loved indoor potted flowering plant.

Kalanchoe blooms around Christmas time, and once it blooms, the flowers cluster into balls and are very appealing. Since you have bought so many kalanchoes, why not try propagating one yourself from a leaf cutting?
Preparation:
1 healthy kalanchoe plant, 1 portion of coarse sand washed clean of impurities, 1 flower pot (a shallow pot is best)
Method/steps:
1. Select several larger, healthy leaves, pick them off, and let them dry slightly.
2. Put the coarse sand into the pot, bury the leaf stalks in the soil, and leave the leaves exposed outside. Be careful not to bury them too deep. Place in a cool, ventilated spot.
3. The leaf-cutting cycle for kalanchoe is fairly long. The whole process from leaf cutting to sprouting may take about 6 months, so gardening friends must wait patiently. During this process, just water lightly whenever you see the soil has dried out, keeping the potting soil moist.
Notes:
1. Kalanchoe leaf cuttings need a very long cycle. Basically, you have to wait about 1-2 months before it may sprout, so patience is needed.
2. While waiting for sprouting, the soil must not be too wet. Do not water too much or too often.
