Occurrence and Control Methods of Mushroom Cap Spot Disease
I. Symptom Manifestation
In the early stage of mushroom cap spot disease, the surface of the mushroom cap is uneven, and later round or irregular lesions appear. When humidity is high, diseased mushrooms on the bed grow white fruiting bodies, and in severe cases the gills stick together.
II. Transmission Routes and Conditions for Onset
The disease is generally brought into the mushroom house by casing soil and spreads through airflow. When the relative air humidity in the mushroom house is above 95%, it favors the occurrence, development and spread of the disease.
III. Control Methods
1. After onset, increase ventilation and air exchange in the mushroom house, reduce air humidity in the mushroom house, and prevent the disease from spreading and expanding.
2. After onset, promptly remove diseased mushrooms and handle them in a centralized manner to eliminate the source of infection.
3. In the early stage of onset, spraying 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 500 times dilution, or 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 600 times dilution, or 60% Fangmeibao at over 600 times dilution can generally provide effective control.
