Hydrangeas are widely used in potted plants and cut flowers because of their very high ornamental value when in bloom. How to keep hydrangeas fresh in water was already shared in the previous article, so you may still have some impression of it. However, sometimes improper care can also cause hydrangeas to wilt prematurely. So when we encounter hydrangeas in water that have wilted, what should we do?

Whether for potted ornamental display or cut flower use, keeping hydrangeas blooming beautifully is undoubtedly the greatest ornamental highlight. Once the flowers wilt, the hydrangea loses its ornamental value. Therefore, we need to use scientific and effective management methods to keep hydrangeas in water fresh, so as to extend the flowering period and thereby keep the ornamental value of the hydrangea for a longer time. So after hydrangeas in water have wilted, is there any way to make them shine again?

In fact, there is a method, and it is feasible. As long as we master the operation method shared below, I believe that even wilted hydrangeas can regain their radiance. We mainly achieve the re-blooming of hydrangeas through the following attempt:

First, we need to prepare a relatively large glass container, then pour clean water into the container, and next soak the entire flower branch, including the flowers, completely in the clean water. Note that the container chosen must be large enough, and the amount of water poured in must also be sufficient, to ensure that the flower branch can be completely immersed in the water.

If the wilting of the hydrangea caused by dehydration is not very serious, it can usually be soaked for about 4 hours; if the dehydration is very serious, that is, the degree of wilting of the flower branch is relatively deep, then it is recommended to soak it for more than 12 hours.

Through this method, more than 80% of hydrangea flower branches that wilt prematurely can often regain the posture of blooming with delicate flowers. But we also need to note that if the hydrangea flower branch has not wilted, and only the flowers have wilted due to other reasons, then we do not need to continue soaking. Usually, it is enough to frequently spray water on the clustered flowers to keep them fresh.

Sometimes, we may feel that the hydrangea bouquet is relatively large and has many small flower branches, and after inserting it into a vase it looks somewhat scattered, so naturally it is not very beautiful. Therefore, we can tie these small flower branches together with string. This not only makes the bouquet look more neat, but also makes the flower heads more concentrated, thereby improving the overall ornamental effect.
