Pothos is a very easy-to-grow green plant. Because of its strong sprouting ability and easy care, it is very suitable for beginner growers to practice with. But for newly bought pothos, how to make it grow lush is a problem many beginner growers face. So, how do you make pothos grow lush?

If you want newly bought pothos to grow vigorously, first we need to let it quickly adapt to its pot, and then use certain care techniques to encourage more vigorous growth. Based on my own experience, I will share the relevant care methods with everyone.

Below, I will show everyone the state from when it was bought to its current vigorous growth. Apart from filling a ring of "powder" around the edge of the potting soil when repotting it, I have never given it any additional fertilizer. Now it looks full of branches and leaves, and has already become pot-bound. This is all thanks to the buried "powder," and this "powder" is soybean powder. So, how do you grow pothos with soybeans?

First, roast the soybeans until cooked. Be sure to cook them thoroughly, then let them cool down, and crush them into powder. Next, dig a circular groove around the plant along the inner edge of the pothos pot, about 3 cm deep. After that, evenly sprinkle the powdered soybean powder into the groove.

Note that the soybean powder sprinkled in should be thin and even enough to just cover the soil, otherwise fertilizer burn may occur and directly scorch the pothos roots. Finally, backfill the groove containing the soybean powder with soil, and water once thoroughly, so the nutrients in the soybean powder gradually seep into the soil.

After that, our care work becomes much simpler and easier. You only need to place the potted pothos in a ventilated spot where it can fully receive bright indirect light. During care, pay attention to moisture retention, water according to the principle of "water when dry, stop when wet," and when the air is too dry, spray the leaves and the area around the plant more often.

After the above steps, generally after 2 months, you can repeat the same care treatment as needed according to the plant's growth condition. If you also have pothos around you that needs repotting, in order to help the plant quickly adapt to its pot and restore good growth, you might as well try the above method!
