Lucky bamboo not only has high ornamental value, but also carries beautiful symbolism, so it can be seen in many homes. But how to grow it well is often a common problem faced by many beginner growers. So how do you care for hydroponic lucky bamboo? Today, taking hydroponic lucky bamboo as an example, I will share its care methods with everyone.

First of all, to grow it well, the temperature must be controlled properly. Since lucky bamboo has fairly strong vitality and is relatively heat-tolerant, as long as temperature changes stay within a reasonable range, it can adapt. It can withstand high temperatures up to 35°C and can also tolerate low temperatures down to zero degrees, so it is very suitable for growing in the southern regions of our country.

However, if the summer temperature exceeds 35°C or the winter temperature falls far below 0°C, the plant's growth will also be affected, and it may even fail to get through summer or winter safely, or even risk dying. So when the summer temperature is above 35°C, shade and cooling measures should be taken promptly, otherwise the plant's growth rate will become very slow.

In order to cool the plant while also increasing the relative air humidity, when the temperature is high, spray water or mist around the plant more often. And if the plant grows too tall, you can also prune it appropriately. Prepare a sharp pair of scissors, then cut the base of the plant into a slanted opening, making sure the cut is smooth with no jagged edges.

After pruning, because the contact area has increased, hydroponic lucky bamboo will be better able to absorb water and nutrients, and then change the clean water about every 3-4 days. After new roots grow out again, we can then appropriately reduce the frequency of water changes; generally, when water is lacking, just add an appropriate amount of water, and do not change the water too frequently, otherwise the plant is prone to developing yellow leaves.
