The marks of time are branded ever deeper in our eyes as we gaze into the distance.   The marks of time are branded ever deeper in our eyes as we gaze into the distance. The freedom we long for may be found in flexing our muscles within the steel forest, or in a lonely journey where innocence still stubbornly endures. But no matter what, freedom is always as pure as it was in childhood. Everyone pursues freedom in a different way, but you said that the sky and the wilderness stretch out for us. Your own freedom should be chased along your own path. The sky you chase is vast because of faith.

That autumn, I came to the north, but not because of you. It was because here, too, there are wide plains where I can run with a smile.

A birdcage is always meant to confine birds, but this bonsai lets the birds fly out of the cage and the plants reach beyond it, breaking convention and delighting the eye.

  Materials:

Ivy (Hedera helix), pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

  Instructions:

Plant the ivy and pothos into the moss ball, place it inside the birdcage, and wait for it to grow; the branches and leaves will slowly reach out of the cage, seeking sunlight.
