Bonsai Making Tutorial: Teach You to Make Bonsai That Resemble Furniture

This is not some novel piece of furniture; it is a prison for plants...

This work by Russian Maxim Scherbakov is called——Plantscape, an experimental project challenging plants to survive in unsuitable environments. The installation is made up of many different boxes, and the plants must rely on their own experience to find the light they need to survive. Although it looks somewhat cruel, the installation actually simulates a real urban environment, for example: the gaps between building railings and concrete structures, the cracks in ground paving, ventilation louvers, ventilation ducts, and so on - in short, places that do not seem to have room for life to survive.

On the contrary, some tenacious life will take root in this harsh environment, survive, grow, and even eventually destroy those shackles, fulfilling the meaning of its own life.
