DIY bonsai as a gift for mom: a handmade gift carries more heartfelt meaning
Jordan's mom has recently fallen in love with bonsai and has her heart set on having a whole small garden, but bonsai are too expensive, so Qiaoqiao decides to DIY a bonsai as a gift for mom!

DIY is not as simple as it seems. Jordan, who has zero experience, makes a special trip to a bonsai greenhouse in Jimo to ask professional teacher Liang Ming for advice.
First, of course, you have to choose the saplings!
Don't be fooled by how short these little saplings are - they have been growing for 3 years!
To get a better effect, Jordan finally chooses several saplings that are "seven or eight years old."
Next comes root thinning, arranging the shape, and then filling it in firmly with soil. Teacher Liang says that boldly pruning the roots does not affect the saplings' survival, because Japanese black pine (Pinus thunbergii) itself is especially tough, and once it is made into a bonsai it will be watered relatively frequently, so it will keep growing vigorously.
After designing the main landscape of the bonsai, the whole bonsai still does not look very attractive, so next use moss to decorate it.
Then place stones, a little pavilion, a little bridge and a little house. Doesn't it give a sense of "a small bridge, flowing water, and a family's home"?
