The leaves are alternate, and the leaf lobes are slender and soft, with flowers growing from beneath the leaf stalks. The stems are about a few inches long. There are several five-pointed star-shaped small flowers, colored deep red and bright; besides red, there are also small white flowers. The flowering period is from early July to late September, with a batch opening every day. Dill's slender and smooth vine stems reach 4-5 m long, soft and highly climbing, making it an ideal hedge.
