The gardenia cut in a mineral water bottle in summer has finally rooted... it seems to have taken more than ten days. I don't know the specific details. I cut gardenias this way. Generally, rooting takes 1-2 weeks.

After about a week, I saw many bags on the branches, and some of them showed white spots. This is the rhythm of rooting.

By rights, branches I soaked in naphthalene acetic acid should root within a week, but unfortunately I forgot to check the weather forecast. After cutting, the temperature quickly dropped. I was wearing two layers with temperatures down to just over ten degrees.

If the temperature stays around 25°C, rooting will be much faster, so the most suitable cutting time is from May to June, because the temperature is higher then and the branches root faster.

Look at the picture, do you notice that the roots on one branch have been growing for a long time, while another branch has only a tiny bit? This is the difference between a one-year-old shoot and a "tinghao" year shoot. Beginner flower lovers are advised to try choosing one-year-old, semi-woody branches that are relatively thick with shorter stems!

For the specific method of cutting gardenias in a mineral water bottle, please refer to the previous video: you only need one mineral water bottle to pot up a gardenia! Next, Lixia will continue to use this method to cut roses, camellias, azaleas, bougainvillea, hydrangeas and more. Want to see?

Gardenia cuttings not rooting? This method is very simple, the roots grow long and endless within a week!

The "nice" plant that is the tinghao gardenia is not only small and cute, but also has a burst of fragrance. Even the leaves are green and glossy, which is very pleasing. We bought a pot to enjoy, and we can also cut it ourselves. The method is very simple!

When we cut gardenias, the most common problem is that they don't root, and we often wait a long time without seeing any roots. So today, the flower will teach everyone how to cut gardenias. They survive quickly.

First, we must choose the cuttings for propagation. We must know that this step is the most important. If the branch is wrong, even if you cut it, you will achieve nothing. So before we cut the branches, we must first observe and see how healthy the branch is. Remember not to choose a new one, because there are not enough nutrients in the sprout to sustain later growth, and branches that are too old cannot be used either, because their rooting speed will be very slow!

The cutting length is about 15 cm, and 2-3 leaves are kept at the top of the branch. In addition to paying attention to cutting at an angle, you should also cut about 2 cm from the bud point. This will help the wound of the original plant heal and promote the sprouting of new shoots!

The simplest way to cut it is to insert it into water to promote rooting. Here, we need to use an ordinary drink bottle. The size depends on the number of plants we are cutting. Then cut at one third of the bottle's height, taking care not to cut all the way through, and then add an appropriate amount of water.

Next, we thread the branches through a foam board and put them into the bottle. Finally, seal the opening of the bottle. Just poke a small hole in the bottle cap for breathing. Then put it somewhere that gets sun. After about a week, we can see that the new white roots have appeared!

After the roots grow, you can open the plastic bottle and place the branches in a semi-shaded spot for a two-day transition, and then you can plant them in a pot!

Before potting, we can use a paper cup for seedling raising. Now poke a small hole in the bottom of the paper cup and seal it with a piece of tape. Now add one third water to the paper cup, then add a little fine soil, hold the stick with one hand and fill in the soil with the other. This method works very well. It protects the root system.

After filling the soil and fixing the plant, you can tear off the tape at the bottom to remove excess water from the cup. Then put it in a shady place for about a week. During this time, you do not need to add water for it. After the soil dries, you can plant it in a large pot.

When planting, just cut open the paper cup and remove it. Be careful not to damage the soil ball. This protects the root system and improves the survival rate! After potting, we still need to give it a buffer period; it will be fine in two or three days, then carry out normal maintenance!

Gardenia is a plant whose growing environment likes a bit more moisture, especially in the current season. We can spray water on the leaves and provide appropriate shade, which can avoid the problem of yellow leaves. During this period, we should not apply fertilizer, otherwise the plant is too young and it is easy to burn it!
