Which plants are suitable for spring cuttings? Here are a few recommendations
Spring is the most suitable season for flower cuttings. Not only is the temperature just right, but they are also very easy to keep alive, and they can quickly take root just a few days after cutting, enhancing the indoor environment. So which plants are suitable for spring cuttings?
Pothos

Pothos, I think, is the easiest to keep alive of all the plants I have grown. Just take a glass bottle, add some water, and leave it there. Within a few days, pothos will grow roots, and with a little nutrient water added, it will quickly fill the pot.
Moss rose
Moss rose can be found in many places, especially in rural areas, where it is seen everywhere. There is no technique at all to cutting it. You just need to pinch off a branch, stick it into a pot, water it thoroughly, and without any care it will quickly take root on its own.
Coin grass
For coin grass, you just need to divide off a bit of stem and put it in water. Give it a little sunlight and it will happily take root and fill the pot.
Geranium
Propagation by cuttings can be done in two seasons, but spring cuttings have the highest survival rate.
Spider plant
Spider plant has strong adaptability and a high survival rate, and generally propagates very easily. Just take a stolon with new shoots, 5-10 cm long, and insert it into the soil,
After about 1 week it will grow roots and shoots. After about 20 days it can be transferred to a pot, watered thoroughly, and placed in a cool place for care.
Peperomia
In April to May, cut off terminal bud branches about 5 cm long to use as cuttings. Before cutting, let the cut dry to avoid infection and increase the success rate of cutting.
Choose a relatively breathable soil for cutting. You can use peat : garden soil : perlite = 6:2:2.
Before cutting, lightly mist the cuttings and the substrate, then place the potted peperomia in a dark place for care. As long as the substrate is not excessively dry, it will take root in about 15 days.
Petunia
Petunia needs no explanation; getting it to fill a pot is so easy! Of course, when it blooms, remove spent flowers in time, as this helps increase the number of flowers and extend the flowering period.
Gardenia
Gardenia is generally propagated by cuttings and layering. When growing gardenia at home, spring cuttings and autumn cuttings are mostly used. Spring cuttings are done in mid-to-late February, and autumn cuttings from late September to late October.
Aglaia
Cuttings and air layering are commonly used for propagation. Cuttings are generally done from June to August. First choose a vigorously growing branch about 10 cm long as the cutting, remove the lower leaves, and keep a few leaves at the upper end.
Christmas cactus
In spring or early summer, choose robust and thick Christmas cactus stem segments, cut off 1-2 segments, let them dry for 2-3 days, and after the cut is slightly dry, insert them into a sand bed. It should not be too wet. If the temperature is suitable, they will generally take root 2-3 weeks after cutting.
Mint
A fresh little plant of spring, there are many wild ones in the countryside. Pull up a thicker rhizome, cut it into pieces about 10 cm long, and note that it needs 1-2 stem nodes. Put it in water and that is enough. It does not need much care to take root.
ZZ plant
Cut off a section of ZZ plant leaf axis with 2 leaves as a cutting, insert the cutting into river sand or vermiculite, leaving only the leaves outside the substrate, then spray thoroughly with water, shade it, and maintain an ambient temperature of 25°C-27°C. It will take root in half a month, and in 2-3 months it can grow into a small plant.
