Snapdragon wilt treatment for vibrant blooms, flowering-period care, and seed price per jin
Snapdragon is a flower that blooms in summer and autumn and is widely planted in Chinese gardens. It is suitable for mass planting in flower beds and flower borders, and can also be used as a cut flower. So do you know what to do when the vibrant snapdragon wilts? How should it be cared for during the flowering period? How much does a jin of seeds cost? In the flower market, we learned that snapdragon seeds cost around 175 yuan, with slight price differences depending on the region and quality.

I. What to do when snapdragon wilts?
1. Causes of wilting
As the saying goes, treat the disease according to its cause. Only by first understanding the causes of wilting can a better and more accurate plan be made for prevention and control. The main causes are as follows:
The first is disease. A common disease of this plant is leaf blight, which mainly harms the stems and leaves. In severe cases, it causes the leaves to turn black and die, but they remain hanging on the stems and do not fall off.
The second possible cause is being exposed to the sun for too long. This situation mainly occurs when the summer sun is relatively intense. With excessive exposure, both the leaves and flowers become wilted.
The third reason may be too much watering, or letting it receive a lot of rain during heavy rain, causing waterlogging in the soil, which can also cause the leaves to turn yellow and wilt.
2. Prevention and control methods
For the first one, you can first remove the leaves that have already been affected by disease, and then use specialized chemicals for treatment. In addition, one more thing to note is that ventilation should be carried out frequently, and the temperature should also be controlled within a certain range, generally around 16°C.

If it is the second situation, then the light factor needs to be handled correctly. Getting some sun normally is of course good, and it also helps strengthen the plant's immunity and resistance. However, we should also choose the right time. Morning and afternoon are fine, but at noon try to move the plant indoors, especially when the summer sun is blazing overhead.
As for the third one, it can be remedied by watering correctly, and not watering too much at one time. In addition, during the rainy season, move the plant away in time.
II. How to care for snapdragon during the flowering period
1. Fertilizing
Fertilize once every half month. You can choose Huiyou or a special fertilizer for potted flowers. Do not apply nitrogen fertilizer during the bud stage, as it easily causes excessive vegetative growth.
2. Watering During the flowering period, prevent the soil from becoming too dry or too wet. Just keep the potting soil moist, and do not let water accumulate. You can spray a water mist around the plant to keep the flower stems bright and hydrated.
3. Pruning
After flowering, the aboveground part can be cut off and watered thoroughly once. After a week, new branches will sprout again. Apply a dilute liquid fertilizer about once every ten days until the flower buds form. Alternatively, after the flowers bloom, pinch off the tips, and the new branches that sprout can keep blooming continuously and very vibrantly.
4. Cut flowers
Snapdragon cut flowers are not resistant to compression, but if cut too early, the buds are not easy to open. Therefore, it is best to cut when 2-3 flowers at the base of the inflorescence have opened and the upper buds are just beginning to open. After cutting, grade the cut flowers according to flower color, plant height, and spike length, in bunches of 10-20 stems.
