Nayun Town, Pu'er City: Launch of the Thousand-Mu "Seven-Color Peanut Planting Project" to Boost Poverty Alleviation
Recently, in accordance with the poverty alleviation industry development plan set at the beginning of the year, Nayun Town launched the thousand-mu seven-color peanut planting poverty alleviation project, a short-term industry poverty alleviation initiative to promote income growth. The entire town has planned a total of 1,630 mu of seven-color peanut planting. The industry project covers more than 1,200 registered impoverished households. It is expected that after 5 months, it will help farmers increase income by at least more than 3.2 million yuan.

This project is mainly promoted through contract farming. Menglian Daiyuzhuangyuan Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd. uniformly provides peanut planting seeds, pesticides, fertilizers and planting technical support. Products are purchased back at a guaranteed minimum price of 10 yuan per 1 kg. If the actual market price exceeds 10 yuan/kg, purchases will be made at the market price, ensuring stable income growth for the farmers covered by the project.
Nayun Town adopted the "Party branch + enterprise + farmer" approach to promote and popularize scientific seven-color peanut planting techniques. That is, the Party general branches of each village convened Party member cadres for centralized training, and invited professional technical instructors from enterprises to conduct discussion-based explanations and on-site demonstration operation training to promote the techniques.
Afterward, the trained Party member cadres and poverty alleviation task force members assigned to specific areas and groups went in dispersed groups to train planting farmers, carried out follow-up technical guidance, and ensured that participating farmers, while developing the industry, learned scientific sowing and the use of pesticides and fertilizers, truly benefiting from a production skills training.
At present, the 4 villages of Jingkeng, Yunshan, Mangzhang and Nankang in Nayun Town have completed centralized training, and peanut seeds and needed pesticides and fertilizers have been distributed to the planting farmers' hands. Plowing and sowing are being organized. The training and fertilizer and pesticide allocation work in the remaining 5 villages is also proceeding in an orderly manner.
