How much can one mu of marigolds sell for? Growers' net profit per mu reaches 3000 yuan
Marigold is an annual herbaceous plant of the genus Tagetes in the Asteraceae family. Its roots have the effect of detoxifying and reducing swelling, and are used externally to treat mumps, mastitis, and carbuncles and sores. It is understood that the net profit per mu of planting marigolds reaches 3000 yuan!

Last year Linyi planted more than 10,000 mu of marigolds, with an expected income of 25 million yuan, and growers' net income per mu exceeded 3000 yuan. When marigolds bloom, they form a golden sea of flowers, which not only brings opportunities for developing rural tourism and ornamental agriculture, but also becomes a new way for growers to increase their income!
How to plant marigold seeds
1. A brief introduction to planting marigold seeds:
①The marigold seeds selected must not be bad or rotten, etc., and then they are planted in spring. Note that only one seed is needed per flower pot.
②Prepare suitable sowing soil: water the potting soil thoroughly the night before, and sow directly the next day.
③Fertilize and water the marigolds: apply fertilizer and water together once every 3 days (no fertilization is needed before germination).
2. Details to note when planting marigolds
①When watering potted marigold seeds, make sure the soil is not too dry, but also not too moist; being too moist will cause root rot. The amount of fertilizer should also be moderate, otherwise excessive amounts can easily cause the marigold's branches and leaves to grow too luxuriantly, and flowering will also be delayed; in particular, disease resistance will be weakened. Of course, fertilization is something to pay attention to after branches have sprouted and after transplanting; no fertilization is needed before sprouts appear.
②The planted pots are best placed outdoors in a ventilated and sunny place, but if it is summer, strong sunlight should be avoided, and the potted marigolds should be placed in a shady spot. Before sprouts appear, the soil temperature should be kept at 20°C to 25°C, and the soil humidity should be above 85%, and the air humidity should be the same. The pH of the marigold soil should be controlled between 6.2 and 6.5.
③At night in winter, measures should be taken to keep the potted marigold seeds warm, such as moving the pots indoors.
