Recently, Changting County held an oil tea camellia planting and management training course. Sun Yong was specially invited to give the lecture. He is an adjunct professor at the College of Forestry of Jiangxi Agricultural University, a distinguished researcher at the Jiangxi Academy of Forestry, and a standing committee member of the Woody Oil Crops Professional Committee of the China Economic Forestry Association. More than 100 large-scale oil tea camellia growers from across the county attended the training.

Sun Yong successively visited the oil tea camellia bases in Tingdong Village of Guanqian Town, Qiufang Village of Sanzhou Town, and Wanpianshan of Nanshan Town, where he gave specialized explanations and on-site demonstration teaching on oil tea camellia pruning and shaping techniques. Using plain and easy-to-understand language, he explained management techniques such as oil tea camellia planting, tending, and fertilization to the growers, and answered difficult questions raised by the growers on the spot, which was well received by the trainees.

Through this training, oil tea camellia growers further mastered practical techniques for high-yield cultivation of oil tea camellia, strengthened their confidence in growing oil tea camellia, and played a positive role in boosting the development of the oil tea camellia industry in Changting County.
