How to grow ginger for high yields? A detailed guide to the planting method
How do you grow ginger to get a high yield? Do you know? What method do you use to grow ginger? If you want the ginger you grow to be high-yielding, what should you do? Let's see below how the experts grow such high-yielding ginger.

Large ginger
The ginger field should be winter-plowed and sun-dried before the New Year. Before planting, spread 2500-3000 kg of compost, 50 kg of plant ash and 15-20 kg of superphosphate per mu as base fertilizer, then plow and break up the soil, rake it level and make raised beds 1.5-1.8 m wide including the ditches.

Large ginger
At planting time, open furrows 6-8 cm deep at a row spacing of 50 cm, with a plant spacing of 26-33 cm. When placing the ginger, lay the seed ginger flat on the bottom of the furrow, concave side up, with the sprouts pointing in the same direction so that the seed ginger can be dug out later; cover with seed fertilizer, then cover with 3 cm of soil and rake the furrow surface level. Ginger is tolerant of heavy fertilization; in addition to applying enough base fertilizer, it should be top-dressed several times. After the seedlings emerge evenly, apply a seedling-promoting fertilizer once, with 1000-1500 kg of diluted human manure water per mu, or 10-15 kg of chemical fertilizer; after removing the seed ginger, apply a ginger-promoting fertilizer again, using 125-150 kg of soybean cake per mu, or 25 kg of chemical fertilizer.

Large ginger
In early August, when branching occurs or ginger tubers form in large numbers, apply a strong-ginger fertilizer 2-3 times, with 1000-1500 kg of human manure and urine per mu or 15-20 kg of chemical fertilizer. After planting ginger, pay attention to field drainage, keep the soil moist, raise the soil temperature and promote emergence. Water every 7-10 days. However, during summer rainstorms or continuous autumn rain, drainage should be done in time to avoid waterlogging that drowns the ginger or spreads ginger blast.

Large ginger
In addition to deep planting, ginger should be earthed up 2-3 times. When the seedlings are 14-16 cm tall, carry out intertillage and weeding, keep one strong sprout per plant, and earth up once together with top-dressing; when the seedlings are 30 cm tall, earth up a second time to a height of 6-10 cm; at this time 1-2 more sprouts grow on both sides of the ginger plant and should be kept; after the Beginning of Autumn, the rhizome rapidly thickens, so top-dress and earth up a third time.
