Good evening everyone. At the current stage of agricultural development, there are generally these areas for starting a business and making a fortune: first, vegetable growing; second, ornamental nursery stock growing; third, flower field landscaping. In previous posts I also mentioned to everyone that there is another one: fruit tree growing.

Fruit tree growing - so what kind of fruit tree should you choose? Which one has good economic returns? Today I recommend the loquat to everyone. Why do I recommend the loquat? Mainly because I think it has these advantages:

  1. Loquat seeds have high yield, the seeds are relatively cheap, and the seedlings grow fast. If you are buying seedlings, it does not matter when the quantity is small, but buying small seedlings in large quantities is quite uneconomical.

  2. The seed germination rate is high. Loquat seeds are generally dried after harvest and then placed directly in cold storage for preservation. They cannot be stored at room temperature. If the seeds dry out, the germination rate is affected; high temperatures can also cause them to sprout early. The best way to store them is refrigeration.

  3. They sprout quickly. Generally it takes about 15 days from sowing to germination. Loquat differs from most fruit trees: it blooms in autumn or early winter, and the fruit ripens from spring to early summer, earlier than other fruits, so it is called "the one among fruit trees that uniquely embodies the qi of the four seasons."

The sowing of loquat seeds involves the following points:

  1. Before sowing, prepare the soil well and water it thoroughly. Loquat is not strict about soil and has wide adaptability; it can grow and bear fruit in ordinary soil, but it grows better in loose soil containing more sand or gravel, with good aeration and fast sprouting.

  2. After sowing, do not cover with soil too deeply, generally about 1 cm. Set the spacing and row spacing according to your own requirements; there are no special rules. Generally, raise seedlings first and then transplant them separately, so the seedlings come up uniformly and are easy to manage.

  3. Look specifically at the temperature when sowing. If it is below 10 degrees, after sowing you need to cover with plastic wrap to keep warm and retain moisture. Otherwise it will affect the germination time and the germination rate.

  4. About half a month after sowing, they will sprout. When they grow to about 10 cm, start thinning or filling in the seedlings.

Pay attention to the above points, and basically there will be no problem with loquat growing. Market demand is large, and if grown well, it is undoubtedly another valuable asset.
