Dragon fruit cultivation can be divided into two planting methods: row planting and pillar planting. Compared with each other, the two methods each have their own advantages and their own characteristics.

First, the biggest advantage of row planting is high yield. On the same 1 mu of land, row planting can accommodate 700-800 seedlings, while pillar planting can accommodate 400 seedlings; the yield of row planting can be 2000 jin higher than that of pillar planting.

Second, the biggest advantage of pillar planting is its high flexibility. Level paddy fields and uneven mountain slopes can all use pillar planting. By comparison, row planting is somewhat more restrictive, as it requires the land to be level, because it involves factors such as installing steel wire and balancing the gravitational load on the seedlings.

Below, the two methods will be introduced with pictures, so that everyone can understand them more intuitively and conveniently and choose the planting method that suits them better.

1. Row planting
